I would like to keep the messages and get rid of invasions. I’ve only ever played Bloodborne and I hated getting invaded. Fuck those bell-ringing monsters that summon other players. When they’d show up before I could kill the bell-ringers, I’d just ignore them so they’d get the hint and if they kill me, make sure I…
Tried this the other night, the feeling I got while playing the One Punch Man theme was euphoric. However, its ability to create tracks for my own music was pretty underwhelming, and frankly the game was very repetitive - there’s only so much variation they can throw at you. That said, for $20, that first experience…
Can’t believe it took this long. I remember a while ago something about Spark was shared and I thought it was still in beta and turned out it had been released over a year ago. Shame it never took off, it looked pretty ambitious, but still not something I personally would’ve gotten into.
Ugh, if I’m not mistaken it was basically a way to get the game to lag/freeze for everyone but the host or something. In Halo 2 you could apparently hit reset on your router if you were the host, freezing the game for everyone but you and you could get a kill. I never cared to try it but it definitely happened -…
Seriously, I never played Overwatch until the open beta but I just sat in one spot, let my teammates distract the enemy, and got so many kills. That said, I don’t think he’s OP, he’s just easy to use. He has counters - I got insta-killed by Genji deflect a few times.
Haha yeah. I remember going 30 and 2 in a FFA in MW2 and some kid was like “30 and 2?! Can you guys stop it with the boosting?” Little did he know I was actively hunting down boosters. The irony...
I was once told I had a “super shield” in Halo2 and was going to be reported for hacking.
Same. Still my favorite movie of all time. Part of me is annoyed how frequent the thumbs up is referenced these days in a context that doesn’t warrant its use.
To me, that thumbs up is one of the best examples of show-don’t-tell ever. Giving that thumbs up to John is saying like three things at once.
1. You’re going to…
I played the game for hours shortly after it launched. Never crashed.
I’ve been waiting for a month now to play my copy of Quantum Break. G-Sync, here I come.
I just think it’s funny that the past two GTX cards were built with VR in mind, at least according to the boxes. VR Ready! Now, even ready-er!
But yeah, better performance is never bad.
Former console gamer for the past 30 years, I finally convinced myself to built a powerful PC last year and it’s amazing. DO IT! My biggest suggestion is to get a friend who knows what they’re doing to help you design/build/setup the thing. PC gaming isn’t nearly as intimidating as I thought it’d be, but it’s still…
I really wonder how much better the 1080 will make the VR experience as compared to the 980Ti. Because I’m running the latter and my Vive experience is already flawless. Now, once these VR headsets get upgrades for better resolution or at least get more graphically intense software, THEN I can imagine needing better…
It’s true. I can play almost any game at 60+ frames on 1440p on max settings with an overclocked GTX980 Ti, only games like The Witcher 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider give me sub-60 frames when I’m in outdoor environments.
My PC I built in September also cost me almost exactly $2,200 :-)
Yeah part of me wants the latest and greatest and to be able to sell my card while it still has a decent resell price, but at the vest least I should wait for actual benchmarks compared to my current card. I remember the 980 Ti being a big deal since it was basically a Titan for much cheaper and with half the VRAM…
“Why the disparity? I am guessing someone got the scale wrong on one slide or the other.”
Um, one clearly says Relative Gaming Performance and the other says Relative VR Gaming Performance.
Unless that was supposed to be a joke.
But yeah I’m excited. I have a GTX 980 Ti. Hopefully I can get this new card and sell my old…
G Sync works now on Quantum Break? This in particular was what I was waiting for. Do I need to do anything other than update the game itself to get G Sync to work?
