Ooo, I had not seen that. That’s pretty impressive. Still, that pales in comparison to Battlefront or Arkham Knight or RotTR on PC.

Yeah, Vive and Oculus are 2160 x 1200, which I imagine isn’t a huge difference in fidelity. We’ll see how well this processor box + PS4 hardware handles VR. Current Vive and Oculus demos aren’t exactly graphical powerhouses - there have to be compromises to reach really high framerates, so I bet PSVR will need further…

To be fair, that was a pretty strange situation. I wonder how often we’ll try to look through holes in the ground. The chaperone system will most likely detect walls, but not floors, because no one should be running into a floor on purpose.

It definitely depends on the game. For Battlefront, it’s the only way I can play the game. For Titanfall (another online FPS), I can’t hit shit.

I felt the same way until I used gyro-mouse. Most shooters feel incredible with that setup. Only rely on the right pad for super quick turns.

Respect. Normally I don’t weigh in on “console wars” because I’m an adult and rooting for a company makes no sense, but I gotta say that Sony is going a great job of not wasting their current position. It’d be easy to sit comfortably on top but they’re making a solid effort to court good will.
