Watching it live, that was the first time I cried - I mean really cried - in a while. Even reading Itoi’s letter to Iwata didn’t make me lose it but something about that song at the end and everyone swaying their hands got to me.

That’s probably because they were xbox exclusives, and xbox consoles sell hilariously poorly in Japan. Now it’s a PS4 title.

To play devil’s advocate - I don’t think these games are solely for men with particular sexual interests. I only met three people in person that admitted to liking the first game. Two of them

I got the 60” model refurbished for around $1200 a year ago. I recommend it. Not a whole lot of 4K content at the moment but if you hook a PC up to it that can handle 4K you’ll have plenty of stuff to show off. Here’s hoping UHD blu rays come soon and aren’t stupidly expensive.

Yeah, I will say that my PC runs hotter in Battlefront than any other game, except maybe Blood Dragon because idk fuck uplay or something.

Tell that to the VR gods. 90 FPS lock or everyone commits suicide.

“Gaming at 4K requires some serious GPU power and so far there isn’t a single GPU that is up to the task. Star Wars Battlefront proved to be extremely demanding at 4K and even the mighty GeForce GTX 980 Ti and Radeon R9 Fury X struggled to deliver perfectly smooth gameplay.”
There’s a card out there that can handle

The iPad Air 2 (2014) is a much more powerful tablet than the iPad 2 (2011), and it should be lighter as well.

There are definitely comparable tablets out there, but it’s something I’m not too versed in.

As someone that for years said that the Vita was still worth picking up for all the great, portable indie titles, especially the number of which that come with PS Plus, I haven’t turned mine on in months :-(

I still say that both Killzone Mercenary and Tearaway were fantastic titles, not just fantastic for-a-portable

It is weird to think of that limitation due to how few people had HDTVs back then. It’d be like if today, you couldn’t read text on a new game unless you played in 4K.

Yeah, HD was practically necessary for some games. I remember I couldn’t even read the minimap in Fable II on an SDTV. For a few years, it felt like I

I remember it all. From that half-hearted MTV reveal with The Killers to obsessing over footage of the fancy new graphics to the waitlists. I literally walked a couple miles in the rain at night to get my console - someone didn’t pick up their preorder and the owner of the local game store near my college personally

Hearing that that JC Penny lack-of-BS initiative tanked is, to this day, one of the most depressing things I’ve ever heard.

Bloodborne was my first entry in the “series”, besides rage-quitting after my first death in Demons Souls, so I’m not some die-hard when I say that the game is great.
To summarize Bloodborne: internal intimidation, external encouragement.
I wanted to give up at certain crushing losses, but the game is surprisingly fair

Just as another anecdote to back up the general claims that the ongoing problems seem to stem from mid to low range PCs - I picked this up on Steam a week ago and my rig with a GTX 980 Ti runs it just fine. 1440p at 90 FPS. Haven’t encountered any glitches yet other than one very minor animation as a cutscene faded in.

Wait, was this announced during the NA Nintendo Direct?

Say what you want about CoD multiplayer but MW2 C4 was perfect. The throw distance and arc was satisfying without being absurd.
You could throw it and activate it very quickly (didn’t have to switch to it, just tap RB and double tap X).
The damage and radius were not too severe.
You could get more packs with Scavenger.

Like I said.

Modern Warfare 2 was the only one I really enjoyed in multiplayer. Mainly because how they handled footstep audio and C4.

Oh I didn’t think of that! I do have it but I’d be impressed if it worked.

I’d love to see DJ Hero 2. Give me a reason to hold onto this plastic.

I’m happy that plenty of downloadable titles are getting some love.
