I was really regretting expanding this comment chain until I read this one.

The picture isn't racist. It's just something that happened. The caption is funny and true. The humor uses race for its context, but not for the purpose of being racist. Its schadenfreude. A black dude, experiencing such an distilled and terrible stereo-type is mortifying. So heaping on the criticism is funny.
