Did you ever think that summoning players is what changes the games difficulty for you? Some people play without summons and some do and their experiences and difficulty will be wildly different. Easy mode is there already just not in a traditional sense.

PoE has levels of gameplay and complexity that Diablo has never reached. I have a few thousand hours each in D1/2/3 and I can easily say that none of them are on par with today’s PoE. In the earlier days PoE was a tougher sell but these days it’s hands down the best ARPG that exists. I still play Median XL a lot also…
