I have a friend who is a total aviation buff, but refuses to go to airshows for this very reason.

A better question would have been, "Who was Emperor of Mexico?"

Eureka!

You are living my dream. Damn diabetes!

Now this is going to be stuck in my head all damn day. Thanks a lot!

Wow—you are my hero today. +1

No.

You are the most sensible person I've read today—thank you.

Lost Ramones track.

He recorded himself announcing his own death? That is just brilliant!

Nice to see my parents broke the law in Illinois. I was 9 when they started leaving me alone to watch my sisters (ages 7, 5, 1).* They didn't believe in paying babysitters.

Cool! My grandfather was a big cook and always made a Chinese-inspired dish at Christmas time, too. He also knew how to make candy (not necessarily Chinese) which was cool for us grandkids.

Could we be related? My grandfather was Chinese-Mexican, too. His father was Cantonese and came to Mexico around 1909—they lived in the Musquiz, Coah. area. The Wong family recently had a family reunion in Saltillo. Almost all the descendants of Yochi Wong live in Mexico, save for us. My parents moved to the States

How will they ever learn how to make a Wagon Wheel?

I loved Funshine Saturday so much. So very much.

I lived for Hong Kong Phooey. I also loved those Timer shorts where an animated watch would tell you how to make a snack out of crackers and cheese, or your own popsicles out of Kool-Aid and toothpicks. Also, I owe everything I know about the legislative process and grammar to Schoolhouse Rock.

It sounds like this is an issue that really bothers you. Do you have any older female relatives that you could go to for advice regarding this sort of thing? Maybe someone who would be sympathetic? Or you could do what I did and just bite the bullet and pluck. It may be easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

I've been using the Pomodoro app on my phone, but I end up looking at my phone instead of working. This is a great alternative as I can now hide my phone and get to work! Thanks!

I used to be like you until I had the strawberry rhubarb at House of Pies in Houston. Now they own my soul.
