Is there really any evidence this condition is going to be any less safe than the normal field conditions? Ugly it sure is, but as long as it is flat I wouldn’t think the injury risks are much different. Grass/turf has its own problems with injuries because shoes can get “caught”.

If the players didn’t pay for the stadium (they didn’t) they can shut the fuck up about how often it is used. I thought they were professional athletes, not models. Afraid to get a little dirty?

So ummm don’t sell your company to investors? If you don’t want your company to be vulnerable to this type of behavior you need to control it. I am sure no one was complaining about the investors when they were paying the bills and cutting everyone’s checks.

I don’t know if you are aware, but he is one of the world’s premiere soccer players. Or maybe you know it as futbol. In any case top level players can make passes like this because they spend years practicing kicking the ball in a variety of circumstances.

This is an article written by a dumb person who is not fun.

There is a big correlation between animal control officers and people into violence and violent crime. I am serious. People willing to hurt animals (most of that job is like killing rats and raccoons and such) for a job generally are not as nice as people generally, which should surprise no one.

I really really don’t understand why the league thinks anyone wants to hear Bettman. Have the fucking Great one or someone present it. No one gives a fuck about the league office.

>Rays outfielder Carlos Gomez says he’s already been drug tested six or seven times in this still-very-young season, which is enough to lead anyone to think random drug tests are not entirely random

>They have more talent than the Jazz and the Spurs.

And they are often lying to themselves. As you see all over climbing/diving threads when someone dies.

Most of those things are less dangerous, and he was clearly wrong about his risk taking, and if you knew about his life you would know he absolutely was courting death.

At least they died doing what they loved...needlessly courting death for an adrenaline high. It is too bad they didn’t have the good things in their lives that would lead them to value living.

People are ants with a few extra fancy behaviors. Who cares if a couple of them want to beat each other for enjoyment?

??? The owners certianly are not the sole producers of the product, but if you don’t think they have a role I think you should go back to the USSR comrade. The players wouldn’t have nearly the salaries if they were just out playing at the local park.

Because Labor is the one who stacked the deck against themselves. The MLBPA spent two decades shitting on future and other non members (amateurs, international players). Now they are finding that when you set up a structure where the only people who get paid are 30 year old guys, well no one want so use them because

Stop being a fucking idiot.

I had a close coworker I worked with from 2010-2014 quit for 9 months over a silly pay dispute, and then just show back up to work like it never happened and claim they were just “on a leave of absence”. When I was talking to a different ex-coworker who brought it up I realized I had forgotten this ever happened. And

I would love just once to watch a team refuse to play the rest of the season over shit like this, or leave a conference.

Unions are garbage, but yea there needs to be a federal law against this type of collective action based mutual throat slitting.
