I think Jalopnik commenters just have a hard time believing that people like things. Especially cars. Because it seems there is a narrow range of shitboxes that Jalopnik agrees on, and a huge number of cars (easily the majority of cars) that they just shit on.

Actually the Isuzu, the Corvette and the Carlton all had Lotus badges. The ZR1 has one on the engine, the Isuzu also had some sort of Lotus badging, reflecting the fact that Lotus had tuned the suspension, and the Carlton was actually sold as a Lotus Carlton Omega.

Plugged tires are fine. I have plugged many tires on cars and motorcycles, and they all lasted until they wore out. There is no reason why a properly plugged tire would need to be further repaired or replaced.
