Nobody showed him how to share his feelings when he was growing up? He lacked coping strategies? Fuck off with that nonsense.

That’s a pretty dubious claim, Mr. I’ve-never-posted-here-before. But let’s try a sorting-hat exercise: Is Sandy Hook in the 90% or the 10%?

No.

I just had a 15-minute fight to take down an architect and you’re so right — the combat is surprisingly fun and rewarding. I wasn’t really expecting that.

1) If you had read it, you wouldn’t have needed to ask your question about visas.

That was my polite way of saying you should read before you post, since your question would have been answered if you had.

They skipped the line that would have allowed them to legally remain in the country. I addressed visa overstays elsewhere in this too-long thread so, yes, I do realize.

So your clients are paying a penalty for line jumping because they’re now standing in line. After line jumping. 1) How does that negate anything I said? 2) Are there undocumented immigrants who are not doing what your clients are doing?

I don’t think that citizenship is something that should be so easily revoked. Jail will be fine.

You’re talking to someone who went through the years and expense.

There is a literal line of people trying to get into this country. Undocumented immigrants — visa stragglers or secret border crossers — jump that line.

I actually didn’t blame this administration. This is a long-standing corporatist giveaway.

Yes. The Sri Lankan guy advocating for immigration reform is a nativist bigot. /smh

I accounted for them under “unable.” So go improve both your reading comprehension skills and manners and then we can talk.

Apply for refugee status. Line is that way.

They avoided all the rigmarole I went through to become an immigrant and then citizen. It involved standing in bunches of lines. Granted, they don’t have my privileges, but they’re living here and I’m living here.

The only thing the current immigration system has managed to definitively accomplish is the creation of an exploitable underclass. We need to stop pretending that this is a bug and not a feature.

I think I remember that episode of Gilmore Girls.

Fine. No more skimming the emails, I suppose.
