If you want a common currency, an infrastructure to bring your goods or services to market, fire and police protection, and a court system for solving disputes, then you don’t discriminate. If discriminating is that important to you, start a club instead of a public business.

The votes aren’t as high in the Democratic race because Clinton is almost a foregone conclusion. There are people sitting out the primaries who won’t sit out the general.

Do we ever get to a point where we tell red states to go ahead and create apocalyptic wastelands as long as no federal money is involved and they don’t pollute the air/water of anyone downwind/downstream from them? That gatekeeper notion would be a real a-ha moment for a lot of people, I bet. The studios probably don’t even realize all the ways in which the deck is stacked. That’s not a point of absolution, but it is a potential point of education.

That’s what you, with a binary outlook on the situation, are choosing to take away. You’d be hard pressed to find people articulating the situation that way. Saying “please don’t be so quick to shoot black suspects” somehow gets twisted into “kill whitey.”

It sucks to have a mental disorder and be confronted by cops no matter what your race is. And either other countries have solved mental health issues or our police need different training.
