Google Desktop was a must have when running XP. Win 7 has a much better search function, so I'm sure that's why it's being killed. I assume that once it's installed you can still use it, it just won't be supported by Google after the 14th.

Gotta include the following apps:

They did include an Apple logo, so there was a grain of truth to the transaction. I mean people pay to get that logo, so these guys were just branching out.

"A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them."

Apple makes awesome hardware, but this is policy of thinking their users are too dumb to use a computer it what makes me dislike them. The idea that they always know best is demeaning and I find it insulting.

I have two Jacks, is that bad? Thank God it's not Tuesday!

PsychoSuperman isn't crazy about this.....

"One thing Android has that no other smartphone OS really seems to have right now is the agnostic "share" button baked into the core of the OS."

Apple's maine problem is that they are using a new distribution method. Without being able to purchase a copy at the maul, they opened themselves to potential issues such as this. I prey that they figured it out for future releases.

Self steering form the company that already had automatic accelerating.

Can't be busted for reading Giz on company time if you're in a time cloak!

6) HTPC. Run the desktop client for free, listen to Spotify on any sound system you have connected.

Weather or not it becomes the popular choice in tablets, I agree with MS on this one. When a device's screen exceeds 7 to 10 inches, it should have the functionality of a PC.

I just recently switched from a Pre to the HTC Arrive, so I understand what an amazing platform WebOS is. While I personally don't feel that apps are a huge perk, most consumers do.

I agree, and so far it seems like MS is getting the heavy hitters to work with them. Angry Birds and Plants vs. Zombies both launched this week.

It's a shame. WebOS is a really great platform, but I don't think it will ever gain traction. Back when they were for sale, I felt that their best hope would have been for Nokia to buy them.

Damn, cant edit my last comment to add this. The 10 dollar fee is standard on all new phones from Sprint now, including the Arrive. They basically stopped charging a premium for just 4G phones, and they raised the data by 10 bucks for everyone. It was still cheaper then Verizon, so I didn't mind.

I was able to pick up the Arrive for a penny when MS was running a promo a few weeks ago. I love the phone, but if you can't find a deal like that, I suggest waiting. Mango phones will be 4G capable, and I have read that they will support front facing cameras. If you gotta pay 200 bucks and get new contract, you

It took Android a little over a year to hit 20,000 apps. WP7 won't be a year old until October and they just topped 24,000.
