I think it's a sculpt for a tabletop game that got Kickstarted.

Actually there were probably more mods in development for HL2 than there ever were for HL1. The problem was that getting a playable mod out for Source took probably 3 or 4 times as long as getting a playable mod out for GoldSrc, as well as a team probably 2 or 3 times as big, with proper talent. I worked on a number…
Why would they take legal action though?
In my experience with Magic, there aren't any "summon random minion card" abilities. The spells and abilities are usually a lot more predictable than that. As far as any ability that creates something from nothing, most players use token cards, and dice to indicate the power / toughness. It works pretty well, and…
This game isn't even 8 bit.
What effects do you think are so complicated to keep track of? I've recently gotten back into Magic, and there are a LOT more mechanics and effects. It's a much deeper and more strategic game.
A few MOBA games have tried to introduce alternate maps, but they never really work very well, or catch on. The trident design is part of the core of the game. Hell, it's even in DOTA 2's logo. It's not like an FPS where familiarity with a map is good enough. In MOBA games, knowing the map is a massive element in how…
Why does picking more popular games make the list better? How does that add credibility? Why focus on games that don't fit the criteria?
No, they really shouldn't. These games are better at ruining friendships than Monopoly. The point of the article wasn't to name the most popular bad board games, otherwise sure Monopoly and Risk would be up there..
They have the car wash, they have Walt Jr.'s phone call, a confession from Skyler, the confession from Walt himself, over the phone (remember that was recorded), he kidnapped his own daughter, fled, and two dead DEA agents, Marie probably told them everything as well, and Jesse is missing. When the head of the ABQ DEA…
How will anything change in 18 months? More people will own PS3s or Xbox 360s than PS4 and Xbox1 combined. And no one will throw out their old consoles, because that makes their massive catalogues from this generation useless.
No one is throwing out their old consoles. The install base for the current gen way outstrips what the next gen will have for years potentially. And this game won't be a graphics or processor powerhouse, meaning no one will ever say "I'm buying a PS4 for Mighty No. 9" I personally think a next gen release is…
The reason I own a MBP rather than a comparable Dell, Acer, HP, Sony or Samsung laptop is because the build quality of those products is generally shit, their customer service is generally shit, and they pre-load their products with complete shit. I've owned a few windows laptops, dated people with windows laptops,…
I actually take less issue with those. A Movie poster can be used to just spark interest in a movie. Especially if it's considered a teaser poster, that reveals almost nothing to a potential viewer. Trailers are where you get the bulk of your information for movies.
If you're relying on your box art to sell your game to the uninformed consumer, then you're doing your marketing wrong. A product with a $60 price point, that requires a $300 hardware investment isn't something that you just purchase on a whim, unless you have a lot more money or no brains.
But thats the problem, the covers that we get almost never communicate anything about the product, apart from the name and possibly the topic of the game (sci-fi, western, military etc.). They're generic and uninformative.
You're assuming they don't already hire the crazy artist with the ability to blow our minds. The problem isn't the guy making the cover art, it's the guys paying him and directing him. You can take someone insanely talented, with the capabilities to shatter what people expect from cover art design, and make him…
The problem is that the content that goes on these things is mandated so heavily by people who don't give a rats ass about art direction. They care about getting a shitty (and almost always useless) paragraph or two describing the game on the back, getting a ton of logos at the bottom, a bunch of thumbnail size screen…
Yeah I picked it up for 12.50, and I can honestly say it was worth every single penny, even though it's only got 2 of the 5 episodes.
The only reason I was able to pick up on the Kentucky Route Zero was because it's mimicking one of my favourite parts so far. An absolutely beautiful scene that haunts me, weeks after I played it.
