They're still relevant consoles for sure (well, PS3 at least). But it still surprises me that someone of his technical caliber would rather keep working with something so old.

... leader of a death cult?

Haha, I do what I can!

I am in just about the opposite position as you - I've always had a Nintendo system except for most of the GameCube era, I've done some contract work for Nintendo, and I write about Nintendo stuff all the time - so I feel pretty qualified to say you're totally right, and it's getting more and more frustrating. They

Ah, that makes sense. None of the Virtual Console titles use the actual chips, though, it's all ports/emulation. So it's a decision on Nintendo's part, and it's a really annoying one. I can see not having N64 titles on 3DS, but SNES? Come on.

GOAT DAMN IT*

Oh, there's no good reason for it - it's just self-consistent. You can't get Link to the Past on 3DS either. It's silly, but they're not specifically denying EarthBound in particular to 3DS owners.

There aren't any SNES games on 3DS. Not a satisfying answer, but the answer.

For anyone who cares, here are some good Wii U eShop titles:

Uuuuugh.

Do we have any evidence that they're actually still making them? I was under the impression this was just leftover stock from September when nobody was buying Wii U.

I bought my Wind Waker Wii U bundle the day after Black Friday and then there were a bunch of deals on Cyber Monday, so I missed on several big discounts. It really stings. And I was thinking the same thing - the stores around me all had low stock and it was mostly gone (by the time I picked it up at Best Buy, there

It's still a tie-in and a partnership between the show and game. It's just not a licensing arrangement.

Oh, whew. I thought you meant the Lutece videos, which I hated hated hated. But yea, this was really cute and charming. Good for them.

Yea, this looks terrible to me. And anytime something looks cool, they remind me that it's a TV partnership/tie-in and then I absolutely lose all interest whatsoever.

10/10, would be trolled again!

As soon as I decided to consider Yuna the protagonist of FFX along with FFX-2, I liked it a lot better.

For what it's worth, which is nothing, I totally hated it. As soon as the urine meter came on screen I would have turned it off, but I wasn't the host, so I didn't. It only got worse from there. On my top 10 Least Favorite Movies That People Like.

I've seen the Mario ones and they are, disappointingly, not all that cool. They're pretty small. I don't know if all Hanafuda cards are like that, but these certainly aren't full size cards as I normally envision them.

I hope this silly meme stays around for weeks.
