I'm sure there would at least be some inside jokes. That's the kind of thing I'm talking about, just the small touches that fill out characterization.

I'm not talking about "A Day in the Life of Jewy McJewerson: The Game", genius. I'm talking about putting someone of a distinct cultural heritage into the leading role of the types of games we already play and doing faith to that character to see how it plays out in the interactions and plot.

Yeah but if you're a convert you're not going to have been engrossed in that culture, you're a newcomer to it. I think he's talking more about the smaller picture; what is the background of that Jewish convert and how does it affect his present situation of converting to Judaism. Not just everything in a vacuum.

This idea doesn't seem to me to be as much about the tenets or ideologies of religions as it is about the culture that grows up around them and how it affects people as individuals. Anyone can make up some sweeping belief system or theorize how organizations of different ideological types would interact with each

I don't think he's talking about characters' religions so much as where they came from. So not just a character that's the reader's digest version of the religious beliefs they grew up in or even someone who's still tied to those beliefs, but someone with a discernible past and how it affects their relationship with

Don't tell me I don't give a fuck about consent.

I'd be down to play a game with a Jewish protagonist that explores their relationship to their background and culture. Or a protagonist from any culture, really.

Actually no, explicit verbal approval is not needed for sex. If she consciously and without duress (like being threatened) lets him then she consciously and willingly let him.

If I punch you in the face is it your fault for not wearing a sign that says, "I don't want to be punched in the face"?

"Horrible things happen all the time" just isn't really good enough.

It was a lapse in judgment. He forgot that to be a decent human being, you have to treat other people like human beings and not just depositories for your genitals. There really isn't any reason or excuse for it.

Truly, they are pioneers of manhood.

If he was being the dick in the situation, how is she responsible for that?

This should be required reading for the purpose of this thread.

Right, because entrapment is when you place your dick on someone else's plate and they suddenly lose their appetite.

But you are implicitly agreeing with him in that respect, dude.

B-b-but if you don't like how men treat you can just ignore them or take your rightful responsibility for personally educating them about why they didn't quite get you to sleep with them this time!

Very good, but I would make sure to mention that she wouldn't have been able to resist him if he worked more of Mystery's techniques into his game in order to unlock her "fuck me" response. And that this is all ultimately a question of technique.

If you don't think it's possible to approach a prospective sexual partner by treating them like a human fucking being and without directly referring to your genitalia, odds are you've never had one.

But this wasn't sexual harrassment, it was a blatent and pitoyable try to get sex from a desperate guy.
