You can think of each movie as if they were different artists' and writers' take on the comics. The first movie was more outright zany and silly like the first few years of comics were, though they totally massacred the canon and the characters. The new one still has a lot of humor; it's just much more deadpan and

It doesn't necessarily have to be dark and gritty. A lot of the Dredd stories are very colorful and hyper-realistic depending on the artist. However, if they are of the more stylized variety they tend to either be in the vein of Americana parody or look like caricature art. What they do do not like, is a squiggly-line

I love the new movie, but I agree that it would be excellent as a TV show.

I actually have this on right now. I hope they made enough money from home unit sales that they will entertain the idea of a sequel, but you know where I think Dredd would really shine on the screen? As an HBO style TV series.

I just started reading the Judge Dredd comics from the beginning (the first comic series I have ever really read). I'm really enjoying them and their black, satirical take on American life and I've read up to a little ways past the Apocalypse Wars.

The unemployment rate among eight year olds is damn near 100%!

"The people get what they deserve, not what they demand..."

"We do not have any concerns that Banner Saga is trying build on our brand or our content,"

But that would be... MENOCIDE!!

I would agree with you if this was a bunch of white trust-fund hipsters waxing poetic on white privilege on a white hipster blog. That would be hypocritical.

Not really, because the reason all of these people are attacking you is because you appear to be having it both ways. You are trying to occupy the moral high-ground by saying that your objectivity won't give in to their pressure, but at the same time it is only logical for them to conclude that you are complicit in

You're the reason I have to sit through mandatory sexual harassment training! I never thought that someone would really need it explained to them that unsolicited sexual advances were inappropriate, but you do! Thanks for all of those wasted hours, but at least now I know it's necessary.

Why is the victim responsible for their aggressor's behavior?

Renegade was a fun game and a great concept. Glad to see that someone is reviving it.

No problem. I'm sure we've all had really awkward situations which we didn't know how to deal with at the time, which very well could be what happened to this woman.

Except it's not a reasonable assumption to ascribe an opinion to someone when they haveexpressly denied holding that opinion. You seem to be missing that part. Nothing about this thread has been anything remotely approaching what I'd call "reasonable".

I think where people were having an issue with you, and taking the implications of your neutrality into areas you didn't explicitly state, is that you can't have a vacuum of belief or opinion. Especially in specific cases like this one.

I totally agree with you on that. One of the reasons I play on PC is so that I'm not locked into a proprietary system.

I just think it's important to note that she is in no way obligated to make any kind of comment on it.

It's definitely lazy, but it makes sense. If they've mapped out a control scheme for the Xbox controller already, they don't have to do it again.
