Learning the guitar has been quite a journey for me. It's a very soulful thing and I often resort to it when I'm feeling down. I totally agree with the point about having specific goals when it comes to learning anything. If you don't have a 'journey' of goals and milestones mapped out it can become very

For me it's learning how to play the drums.

Nice. I use dropbox a lot but need to start using evernote more. I currently use DevonThink which is expensive but an awesome paperless solution.

I can see how that would reduce stress levels. Makes you feel like you're not alone i guess.

I don't know if it's the same thing but I find writing things down on paper is a very effective way to embed my goals into my mind. The act of physically writing is quite powerful for some reason. I think it engages my mind in a different way. I also find the following hacks quite effective in goal achievement:

Completely agree with this. RESOLVED arguments are good for kids. Kids learn conflict resolution. I used to date this chick who's parents had never argued and she was all messed up when it came to resolution of arguments.

Sorry to hear about your narcolepsy. I don't think he was referring to chronic conditions which narcolepsy is as far as I understand it.

Have you guys used McTube Pro to download videos to your iOS device for later offline viewing? I don't know if they still have it on the app store though.

I find using mind maps to be very handy in getting the creative juices flowing. Perhaps it's the 'structured disorder' but having the ideas arranged in a circular format as opposed to a linear (list) format seems to help make connections across the various ideas more effectively.

I really like using the fitbit because of the graphical representations of my exercise patterns it gives me. It shows me the days/weeks when I've been slacking off and also syncs nicely with myfitnesspal.

A friend of mine is a sleep specialist (yes that's a real profession) and he recommends doing 2 things: 1) Get rid of all visible clocks and 2) Try and NOT sleep.

I have used Team Viewer a few times as a collaboration tool. Didn't think of using it as a remote access tool. Good idea. Thanks.

There's another app called Discovr Music (they have Discovr Movies too). Have you used them? How does this compare to them?

I like the fact that this workspace has a noticeboard. I used to be all about going digital but realised that every time I wanted to refer to my Omnifocus list on my computer or iPhone to see my to do list, I'd get distracted by about 100 other alerts on the phone or computer!

Nice one. I must remember to try that. Pretty expensive trick though. Maybe they should be giving you the $20!

Totally agree. I actually praise my kid for doing things he doesn't want to do or when he practises delayed gratification.

"For me, I find reading and researching a post are the most nefarious distractions" I love this line! So true.

Reading outside your comfort zone is a great hack. Robin Sharma talks a lot about doing one scary thing each week and I find that to be quite helpful as well.

I keep my new ideas for my blog posts inside a folder on dropbox.

Man this app sounds awesome! I am so getting it. Graphs and charts are very motivating in my experience. Thanks!
