Honestly, places that I always go to, I always park in the same area. I like the idea of taking a photo with my phone, because it's easy for me to lose where I parked.

@tinkerer13: I do. Everything from soup to nuts goes through my computers and they are Linux. I've been using Ubuntu as my only desktop OS for 2+ years. Very easy to use, lots of built-in tools, a boatload of free software in the repositories.
I've heard of using a washing machine as an ice bucket. Load it up with ice and drinks. When done, run the spin cycle and spin the water out.
@vlatro: +1
@Doinker: Mrs. Dash has lemon in every single flavor! No, thank you, Mrs. Dash.
@philosopher_dog: I'm with you. I LOVE my pressure cooker, and won't be without it. It's absolutely MADE for brown rice. It cooks tender fluffy brown rice, pinto beans in an hour, stew in as little as 20 minutes.
I think this is some pretty cool notetaking paper, but I have to admit, I hate lines in my writing space. Just chunk it up into the 3 segments and be done. I know that's unusual - most people like writing lines, but I don't.
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my computer, I love computing and I'm a fan of various digital trinkets (phone, Eee). I don't mind reading a book from the screen once in a while, but NOTHING replaces the book.
Sometimes what I do is take the paperback to Office Depot/Max and have it spiral bound. They'll use the original covers and laminate them, but cut off the spine and spiral bind the pages together with the laminated cover pages. The book lasts a long time, and you can lay the book flat.
@Heratiki: Hey, I'm an Ubuntu Kid! I have NO Windows machines in my network at all! You meant to address @jmslcs, I believe
@jmslcs: You are mistaken.
@ja2038: Wow. I wish we could multiply you and put you behind every McDonald's in our town. Here the employees don't care about anything.
@Joe Gearhart: I prefer to keep my data in my own possession.
@karindalziel: Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing and Typing Tutor offers DIY typing tutorials. You can simply open a text file within the program, and it will feed it to you as a typing lesson
@Vertigo50: I think that this is a pretty good idea if you *don't* have "other money". Sometimes you do the best you can with what you have.
My "work buddies" are the guys from my open source group. We are electronically connected 24/7 through an irc channel, and we let off steam, share ideas and support each other throughout the day.
I use my book prop for my Eee when I'm using it as an ebook reader. It balances great in the book prop and easy access to the arrow keys to page down.
This is a nice idea. I'm a vermicomposter (worm composting) myself.
@Wabbited: I agree. I made my own series of start pages with text links of my favorite places. Of course, I could use images if I wanted, but I prefer a lean look.
OK, I gotta say I love the little puppy on a bun. Too cute!
