Guess what? If you're not a woman, you don't get to decide what women get offended by.

It's never been stated that only men can do anything. In AC4, during present day, you hear recordings from two men reliving the memories of women, one that is reliving memories from Aveline, the woman from AC: Liberation, and another one reliving Joan of Arc's memories. In AC2 you hear messages from a man that is

I don't remember seeing anyone complain about straight, white men. In fact, the only punching seems to be coming FROM men that are offended that some of us would like to see more female characters in games.

I don't know of anyone that actually reviewed the game before launch. I know there are a lot of consumers that passed judgement on it without playing it.

Not everybody thinks it sucked. I don't preorder games so no hype train for me. I really enjoyed it. There were a handful of issues with the game, hopefully they'll get ironed out in the next version.

Or...how about we, as consumers, voice our opinions about this company's product and you voice yours?

I don't know that would work because they would have separate children eventually, meaning that you'd have two 'present day' protagonists and that doesn't work with present lore (that every character is an ancestor of Desmond Miles).

This person more familiar with the lore doesn't know what they're talking about. The game is about genetic memory. The idea that a person's memories are somehow encoded within their DNA and at conception they are passed to their children. Mother and father contribute DNA to the child so the memories from each would be

Umm no, you don't understand how that works.

What? No, they're just following Desmond's family from child to parent, not a 'specific family line'. What does that even mean? Do you think that Desmond's last name was Auditore? And that in the first game you played as Altair Auditore? Maybe AC4 was Edward Kenway Auditore.

Last time I checked women passed DNA to their children as well.

Ohh wow, that's amazing! I can't believe how easy you make it sound! All I have to do is go to that Web site? I'm there!

A couple of weeks ago was my friend's birthday and I brought my Gamecube and Melee to the party. His 50 inch LCD didn't have the connections for it so we ended up hooking it up to the ancient 27 inch TV in his bedroom. There was pizza, beer, cards, sports and movies to choose from but it didn't take long at all before

"Game developer what is only known for one hit game announces a new game that looks and feels just like their old game!"

Obvious strawman argument. Literature is full of stories written from a female's perspective, 99% of video games are from a male's perspective.

They're talking about multiplayer, no one was expecting single player with a female character (since obviously the world isn't ready for that). AC has had female playable characters in multiplayer since Brotherhood.

Every AC game since Brotherhood has had female playable characters.

"Hot mess" means really awesome, right? Because that's what Devil's Third looks like to me.

Genesis Maximus!

Sounds to me like you were looking for something specific and didn't get it. That's not their fault either.
