No one is saying that all protagonists have to be female, but when developers DO interact with females, it would be nice if they weren't all oversexualized caricatures wearing thong bikinis for armor (check the new Metal Gear sniper character).

Because some of us have daughters that play this game (or are women that play this game) and the only playable character that they can identify with is treated like a sex object in the first minute of gameplay and that character's only response is to just take it.

No, you got it right. The NCAA is arguing that the players should not be paid any of the millions they are charging EA for use of their likenesses and EA agrees with them.
