I understand people watching football as it is a very physical sport. I, as an example, have had a disability since 2nd grade. What I don't get is people who watch video games rather than PLAYING them.

From a purely "skin" viewpoint, yes. The people who make a mountain of it are the ones that realize the flaws are behind the skin. Usually the more tech savvy.

They've always just banked on people buying Windows for their PC for several reasons, but now that technology has blown up (tablets, Apple:Windows market share that used to be 1:16 is now 1:2), they're losing more and more people to companies that have gone out of their way to be... more user friendly, for example.

I think you bring up some good points. With 4k TVs around the corner, 1080p has dropped in price and we can see these discrepancies. It should be talked about, and more importantly, understood.
