I feel GFWL was seriously broken on initial release, but the current one isn't bad. Not GREAT, but far from being a horrible abomination.

They do wiping via BCWipe or DBAN in a lot of places, but it depends on the level of security. The software usually doesn't matter so long as it conforms to the DOD 7 or 31-pass wipe standards. A few of those drive crunchers exist at varying places that in the area where I'm at where they do "secured destruction".

Microsoft decided to sue because Motorola was threatening the entire industry. So Microsoft decided to attack first. The EU is also striking against Motorola for doing it, too. This isn't Microsoft being sue happy, but defending them (and everybody else) in the process. Motorola's gone overboard with their codec shit.

And by doing so, made it sound NOTHING like Mass Effect at all.

I have to imagine Microsoft wanted the Halo story told their way, and not without the A) love interest B) wise cracking sidekick C) the "I've got two days left to retire" inspirational leader who dies 5 minutes later or D) every other major stereotype. Not that Halo is original, but... I imagine they'd have wanted to

My crafter on Europa shard was "Hengeyokai". Crafting actually meant something in that day, and I'd have people call me to place orders for armor (and pay by check/money order). People'd stock up on stuff because you could potentially lose it.

I miss the crafting from Ultima Online. Really made you work for your craft.

Either way, somebody clarified something on another discussion about this: these people are all on probation, which prevents them from accessing the Internet in general. So yeah.

Baldur's Gate had an interesting story for "DLC" that came out after (e.g. via an unofficial game patch at the time). One of the original devs spent about three months (unpaid!) going back and patching in everything he could to complete the ending Black Isle had intended, but was unable to do given deadlines. He

Sometimes the aspects that were "ripped out" would have been ripped out, and scrapped to never have seen the light of day. Some devs go and finish up the content that they'd have had to ax due to deadlines.

These people served their time in the eyes of the law, and were released. They f'd up, and bad, and thusly got punished in accordance with said laws. Regardless of what they did... this is just a cheap act for easy votes. "WE PROTECTED THE KIDS! HURRAH! We stripped rights away from people who we feel are 'bad' and

The main problem with Propecia is that, while it /does/ work, it only works so long as you're on the pill. Go off of it, even as little as month... and any progress made can be lost in a few weeks.

Rogaine pretty much only helps prevent hairloss on /one/ area of the scalp towards the back of the head. It's really only useful there, but its effectiveness is a toss up anywhere else. It may work, probably won't.

It looks Monsters Inc-style. Plasticky and kind of fake. Neat, but fake.

I'd say wait for the mid-range, whatever they put out as the 660 and 670. Usually, the *60 are the best bang for the buck on the Nvidia side.

You shouldn't, no. The GTX 680 should have a power rating similar to the GTX 580 (if not less). CPU shouldn't matter /too/ much as most games at GPU limited, not CPU. CPUs don't have quite as much influence on gaming as they used to. RAM is always good, and a decent gaming machine should have about 8GB (with Windows 7

To be honest, the same can be said of deviantArt. Any art community is going to have the bad amongst the good unless they selectively filter.

IT technician.

If my current company required that accessing a Facebook account was "new policy" and that they could ask any employee, at any time, to log in or turn over their password info... I have a simple solution. Terminate your Facebook account.

One of the things some employers do (as a friend found out) is ask you to log in to your Facebook there. Not turn over your information, but log in. He found it strange, and declined... and they terminated the interview right then and there.
