Reportedly, North Korea recently caused the crash of a drone by jamming GPS. The drone was being tested in South Korea. The air vehicle crashed into the ground control van killing an engineer. The GPS jamming also affected commercial flights in the area.

Spoofing GPS should not be confused with jamming the command/control link. The drone may fly home if it loses the control link. If you spoof GPS, well, the drone will likely fly in a direction not intended by its owners.
