Does anyone know how this version will compare to the really beautifully modded versions that have existed for a while?
The main problem with VR is that so far the tech has required the software (games) to work for the VR (hardware). This when we’ve had years and years of examples showing that it’s actually the other way around. In a competative market, it’s the hardware that needs to work with the software. So, making VR hardware that…
QUOTE | “We shouldn’t let gaming turn into an artform that’s defined by a number. Nobody asks when you look at a painting, how many colors were used?” - Head of Xbox Phil Spencer pushes back at the idea that native 4K resolution or 60 frames per second should be mandatory features for games.
So, yet another cautionary tail about why you shouldn’t pre-order.
I call that a win-win (unless you’re someone who views law enforcement as a revenue-generator).
We don’t know who struck first, us or them, but we know that it was us who scorched the sky.
Thanks for this window into a fascinating culture!
Why so many recycled stories? And why was this one missing the ‘This article origially posted on 2/18/14.” line at the top?
I’m curious what makes it a ‘heavy’ bomber. I thought that term referred to the weight/amount of bombs it could carry. What’s this thing’s payload relative to the planes it’s replacing?
I’m feeling kinda jaded now. There are a lot of sequels here, but I’ve been felling pretty let down by sequels lately. Just my opinion, but Fallout 3 > Fallout 4, XCOM:EU/EW > XCOM 2, and DEHR > DEMD.
Yeah, but I’ve seen a lot of games diverge from this ‘previous was great, sequel should also be great!’ sentiment. For me, Fallout 4, XCOM 2, and Deus Ex:MD were all worse than their predecessors (Fallout 3, XCOM EU/EW, and DEHR, respectively).
Meanwhile...back at Niantic’s Pokemon Placement Service, someone is slowly dragging their finger over a map of Japan with the same joy of someone using a laser pointer to fuck with a cat
Anti-Drumpf here, but a potential counter-point to consider: Debate moderators should only ask questions and manage the clock to ensure each party has equal time to repond to questions.
Jesus, did the old Xbox management team move over to Sony? WTF is going on with them. The PS4 Pro isn’t that impressive and lacks a single unqualifed statement about what it will add/why anyone should buy it, and now this.
Counterpoint: 3rd person is best because peripheral vision. Maybe when VR becomes ubiquitous, and we can have spacial awareness in a game like we have in the real world, then I won’t mind playing in 1st person. But until then, I really want some idea of what’s going on to my left and right without having to keep the…
I mostly get this with sequels. If a new game sucks, I just drop it. But if a sequel isn’t that good, I keep playing, hoping against hope that an improved version of the progenitor is in there, somewhere, waiting to be found.
Don’t worry. If he’s hungry enough, he’ll eat anything, even *gasp* string cheese, goldfish, and fruit roll ups :) It just means he’s not that hungry, and being able to say no to food when you’re not really that hungry is a great skill to have, one many of us wish we still had!
I’ve heard NMS described as the new Destiny. If that’s true, I’m waiting until the UI and related interactive bits are brought up to modern standards and there’s more to do in the world. This is so long as the game stays at $60. If it were $15 I’d buy it now, but I don’t get the sense it’s that awesome right now, even…
