There was definitely an XBLA version. One of the first demos I ever downloaded.

If memory serves, I believe that's correct. Though your original post was correct as well, I just think it was an interpretation of the words that was the issue, haha.

What does it meaaaaan??

I took the "I am the first" line to mean, "I'm the first to fight in this war." Since the lead up to that line talks about many other Spartans fighting as well.

He has a really, really bad case of punchable-face syndrome

I gotta say, I really hope there's more squad based gameplay in this. I understand the Aliens series is always way more scary and atmospheric when you're all alone, but I'd love, just once, for there to be more than 10 seconds of gameplay that involves having at least 1 or 2 other Marines with you.

Oh man, no wonder you swore off the series after 1. SR2 was amazing and was my introduction to the series. It's too bad you decided to skip that one because that's where they really found their niche.

Yep! Tiptup was my go-to. And I remember being especially pissed that the secret hidden racer Drumstick was just as shitty as the others, haha.

I loved that game and actually played that before ever playing Mariokart 64. It was my introduction to the N64 and the reason I got the console. But holy hell did all the vehicles control like shit. I remember there only really being one or two good characters in that game.

People's inability to pronounce Deus (sounds like "Day-ous" much like "joyous") correctly makes me rage so bad. A friend of mine—who's just as much into games as I am (which is to say, a lot), and well educated, and who I knew had heard of the previous games—pronounced it incorrectly...and I was blown away. It kind of

...maybe because she's a big part of the story? Why wouldn't they show her?

While so many other videos do this so terribly, this one makes me laugh every damn time I watch it.

17 looks a whole lot like The Mist, which I personally think would make for a great survival horror title.

Nothing is more satisfying than seeing little shits like that get their comeuppance.

So, about the Valkyrie in #2...

Now playing

Trailers can really do a lot to discourage people from considering the game...This one in particular—and I don't know if I can speak for everyone here—was so bad that I thought it was just a terrible fan trailer or something.

I'm not surprised that people wouldn't want to try them. Some genres or series just don't interest people. I always hear about how amazing Final Fantasy VII is, but I have no interest in it because JRPGs don't interest me in the slightest (I think Lost Odyssey was the only one I was ever even remotely interested in,

I've been wanting to get this out for a while, but I was incredibly disappointed by the missions and mission/story structure of this game. I hated that it was all laid out in a set order (though I understand why for the branching story reasons) and using the various side missions as story missions/tutorials is

Having played SR2 a whole bunch right before The Third came out, I too was disappointed by many different things in the game. The way they handled Gat (SPOILERS I honestly thought I missed a cutscene or something when they just kinda write him off right off the bat...just *bang* oh yeah, Gat's dead, oh well. END

Definitely, which is what's so jarring about the game. Sure, the big lumbering dudes should move slowly, but the thin and regular body types? There should definitely be a lot more fluidity to it.
