unfortunately they made this change in The New 52 as well. So its not without DC precedent

You could also argue cultural appropriation is part of American culture lol. Next year let's mash up everyone else's costume into one giant gaudy one

You could argue it's an homage to Hollywood blockbusters and our industrial sector, which IMO is more culturally honest than some knockoff stereotypical Native American dress or a cowgirl thing

To quote Quentin Quire: "Theres a Victor Von Doom academy and this is the first I'm hearing of it?!?? "

It's not just girls though, there are some creepy dudes going after the boys too. I was in a sonic costume at SDCC which included a lycra bodysuit and I had 3 separate guys walk up to me with a video camera and just stick it right up to my junk to record it for something.

you mean lifehacker doesnt actually hack stuff?!?!

sounds like a porn site specializing in gingers

Yes Rose was The Worst. But she was the original companion of the new series, so she cant be considered for this topic :/

Rose was technically original (I look at New Who as a new show) so I can't count her.

Felicia Day gets a pass because she's Felicia Day

Its a fake name. My theory is she is Jessica Jones

maybe he just collected a shit ton of rainwater?

I know you can sift it out of rainwater in small amounts. Not sure where you get a huge chunk of it though

Enzo lost a lot more than his eye. He lost his entire childhood, his hero, and his mother (temporarily)

some of the jokes, even the names, were just over my head. Hexadecimel, Dot Matrix, etc. I knew they sounded computery but I didn't understand the reference as well as I do now.

a rewatch as an adult is definitely a good idea. I missed SO many jokes because I just wasnt a big enough nerd yet

I loved the episode and the series! i just dont think the singing was 'pitch perfect'. Actually thats part of why I liked it - it was real, they didnt autotune the shit out of it to make them sound perfect.
