Indeed. I guess they learned their lesson well enough from The Spirits Within.

If this thing can finally let me play the oringial PC version of Dragon Age without a keyboard and mouse I will buy.

Pretty much. For the side that claims to be about free expression of ideas, they got absolutely apeshiat when anyone questiosn theirs, or dares to promote any ‘feminist’ ideas. Hell, the entire movement is basicaly “lets censor all feminism in gaming!’.

Very true. Aside from gear, the difference in control scheme between console and PC dictates which skill builds I go with. While I enjoy both (PC for seasons and console for arcadey controls) the menu UI for the console version’s very terribad.

I still think there are some lacking areas or sacrifices on the console control scheme. The need for the lock-on assist for ranged attacks on enemies, the AOE abilities not being the best to aim, and the inventory.

Hmm, Mass Effect. Does the Steam controller work at all with non-Steam games? Like, can you do all the configurations and everything with a non-Steam game? I have ME1 through Steam, but ME2 I got on disc (and of course ME3 is Origin only, and I’ve keyed them all into Origin now). My wife hates keyboard controls, but

It doesn’t, really. I find the Steam controller can’t compete with the Xbox controller in games that are designed for a controller as input. But in games that don’t have controller input, that’s where the Steam controller really shines. I can play the original Mass Effect or The Witcher on my couch, now. For FFXIV

Well, yeah, that’s the entire Gamergate platform in a nutshell.

Geez. Sounds like a bunch of people who like to start fights are starting fights with ghosts at this point.

I definitely don’t think FFXIV is more complicated than WoW, and seeing as you haven’t played since Wrath that’s even more confusing since that was the era of the John Madden Feral

All I can do is call it like I see it and explain why. If the things I don’t like about the game don’t bother you—or you even like those things—then of course you will have a different view of the game that I do.

Now playing

Its made by Compile Hearts, even if they hired the best in the business, I don't see it being a good game.
