It's a shame, for this article anyway, that all of the Wheel of Time books start with the first few sentences. Then again the sentences that follow are almost always descriptions of terrain or a city, not as epic or catchy as these.

Yup, I hopped on my Android and slapped down $7.50 for Deus Ex before the sale ended. I don't get home from work for another 4 hours, I would have missed out!

My favorite 4th of July game: "Gunshot or Firework?"

It's also smooth and delicious.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but there would be a deluge of opposition.

Good lord how have I not removed this?

Either way, Stern has certainly boo-earned it.

Yeah, I'll be hard pressed to visit the site as much as I do without blog view.

I believe extreme pressure would keep the water liquid, even well below the freezing point.

Yup, I'm actually doing a fair amount of this for my job, only in this case it's for a city's wastewater collection system assets. Rate the Likelihood and Consequence of failure on a 1-10, multiply those two scores for a 100 scale Risk score and there you have it.

Haha! Of course I'm the Sowers, so a "Factory" should obviously be a Colony ship. I was thinking it was something that let me build buildings faster, doh.

Yeah I figured it out shortly after posting the question. Here's one though, how do I build a colony ship? I don't see it in any of my plans or research tech trees.

How do you move your fleets from system to system? I can't quite figure it out. I must not have hit the right tutorial stage yet. Perhaps I should Google.

Just bought Endless Space and am about an hour into the beta/tutorial. Holy shit is this game beautiful, with a super UI. Thus far it is lighting up all the appropriate receptors in my brain's space expansion lobe. [store.steampowered.com]

I DM a weekly (for the most part) 4E D&D game and also play Dominion and Settlers of Catan quite a bit. Last week my group tried out Lords of Waterdeep and enjoyed it.

I know, that's why I'm sad.
