I'm usually pretty good about knowing whether or not I'll like a game before I buy it. But I jumped head first into the hype and videos previewing Brink. It looked incredibly fun, with a style and panache few games possess.

I hear it's hard to drown with a lifejacket on.
In related news, you can pre-order Diablo III from Newegg with $10 off via promo code EMCNFJC22. Of course you won't get release day delivery, but $10 is $10.
Well, it's not like you shouldn't know what urine for, living in Florida.
That was one of my favorite moments as well.
Well, there's my downer for the day. Thanks. Back to my boring desk job that I remain at for its paycheck and safety.
I live in the East Bay, and last night was some of the craziest thunder I've ever experienced, and I've lived in Vegas and other places where thunderstorms can get pretty intense. The first peal of thunder shook my apartment so hard and so long I thought a train had derailed. Car alarms were going off all over the…
Interesting, I've always found that after two beers the diversity of my vocabulary in conversation shoots up significantly. Alcohol affecting the brain, woo hoo!
If only my own hair had waited that long. I'm on pace to have more gray than brown by 30.
So I used to be a pretty good TF2 player, especially as a spy. I say used to because since I built a new computer, I am now damn good. Playing all those years at 30 or lower fps was like a brutal training ground that honed my skills to a razor edge. I'm getting 100+ fps now with my i5-2500k and GTX 560 Ti and…
My thanks for sharing, Drew, and you have my heart felt congratulations as well.

Forgotten Realms canon only gets in the way of the DM as much as he lets it. I freely loot, pillage, and modify the setting as I see fit for my game, and my players seem to enjoy it thoroughly.
Loved the first, and this looks like more of the same, plus more. So just, more then? I am not disappointed in that.
Things are certainly looking up though. At the engineering firm I work for, in some offices there are more young women engineers than men. The company as a whole is nearing 50/50.
That book smell is one of the top reasons why I refuse to convert to a Kindle/Nook/etc. Even if they're not old tomes, I can't get enough of that scent. I will admit to cracking open many a book and just shoving my nose into them. Maybe I'm weird.
I will watch this movie. I will not think too hard. I will enjoy it.
That was indeed nuts.
