My admiration for the F-14 was a byproduct of my love for the VF-1 from the Jack McKinney Robotech novels, which helped me develop an appreciation of aircraft form factors. The F-14 is one slick beast, but I do have a major sweet tooth for the Prowlers/Intruders designed stretched out teardrop body.
