The P1 and 918 still make me laugh...in a good way.

Precisely the kind of charity we need! I volunteer.
Now if Audi would only listen to me and bring this to the USofA...
This is a great point. Maybe you own a P1 and don't want to push it to the limit (I wouldn't). But at the very least, get a driving coach and some track time so you can learn basic car control and let the car breathe a little. No shame in that :)
How about driving them well, instead of poorly or too hard? You can get a highly competent driver coach and rent a race track for far less than maintenance on your supercar will cost. As for parking, the only excuse for parking poorly is a medical emergency. :)
Nothing wrong with a gorgeous car like the 918 or the P1. Everything wrong with buying one, keeping it as a garage queen, and using it only to go to dinner. Of course if you can afford it, you can do whatever you wish with it — but those cars were built with high performance driving in mind.
Travis Torchinsky does have a nice ring to it.
Agree.
You had me at 918 and P1. If I could afford either (or both) I'd take them to the race track where they belong.
God, me too. I want a 912 badly. Maybe because I spent 1/2 my childhood squished into the back of one...
My Dad is 6'3 and he fit into various early 911s and 912s. He doesn't fit into the modern Porsches as well...
I am 40 and am definitely ready for my 911 midlife crisis.
I love Porsche but I have to agree...post 993, they just get bigger and bigger. The 991 is huge when you park it next to the 993, and gargantuan next to the early 911s.
Yes, yes, yes. This is why if someone offered me a 991 or a 1972 911, I would choose the '72 in a second. Welcome to the cult :)
Now that's gorgeous!
Hope karma gets the thieves.
@Bill_F1, well done! :D
This is terrible. I am circulating among all my car-loving friends and hoping we'll find the a**hat who took your Beetle sooner rather than later.
