There was a movie about him made back in the 70s that made the Muslims start shouting because they were all freaked out by the whole idolatry thing. Turns out they just showed him from behind, which was just awkward. I think it would be a really interesting story, myself.

Er... wtf is creepy about liking JPop and Anime/Cosplay? How are people agreeing with you? Oh, right, I'm on Jezebel.

"racist fetishists" ... yikes.

At no point did Joan mock the kidnapping, rape, or torture. She was comparing her lavish living conditions to the squalid condition of Ariel Castro's house to make herself look like a spoiled, out-of-touch celebrity. That was the joke.

Remember Chris Rock's famous joke about Biggie and Tupac? "Them two ni**as got shot!" Were you clutching your pearls at that one too? Five people in that joke died you know....

Good.

maybe hipsters are unfamiliar with comedy, but comedy is based on the comparison or contrast between two ideas that creates a friction or cognitive dissonance that our brains recognize as funny. Here, Rivers is comparing living in her daughter's lavish guest room to the hellish conditions of The cleveland kidnapping

If you're not sorry, yes.

But the joke wasn't at the expense of the victims. It was a self-depricating joke about her living conditions. Her living conditions were so terrible, that they were like those of the victims. You can say it wasn't funny, but to say that her attempt at a joke trivializes the plight of the victims is just stupid. The

You know, we're on the same side of this, but that's a silly way to characterize it. If we went with the 'feelings' standard, there'd be a lot of really shitty consequences. Don't like it that neo-nazis can hold marches? Let's cut back on that 1st amendment bullshit. Don't like the idea that some violent criminals

ding ding ding...!

One of my best friends straddles the line between Republican and Libertarian, while I swing just about as left as you can get. My point in saying this? His political beliefs haven't mattered whatsoever in his ability to be an incredible friend to me, just as Kathie Lee's don't mean a thing to being a host on a

Wow, there's a test before someone gets to have a conversation with you?

I'm not even white, I'm native american, and I am goddamn tired of all these articles being shitty to white people. Who here wouldn't be horrified at seeing something like this targeted toward any minority? Beuller? Beuller? Because if you would be horrified seeing someone slam a native, or a black woman, or a chinese

Yeah, good point. I really didn't know her well before I saw the documentary (which, admittedly, had similar stand up in it) and I really liked her in that and I guess it piqued my interest. But this interview just sort of left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yeah, my initial comment sounds like I didn't enjoy it. I laughed, but I can see why some might've cringed.

Best become a Twitter activist and post some hashtags so Twatters like you can unite in outrage.

Sometimes I wonder if Jezebel commenters are really feminists or if they're actually trolls pretending to be feminists in order give slanderous material to glib men everywhere.

YES, I was just talking about this the other day- I was watching The Americans (set in the early 1980's) with some friends and we saw a 2005 Dodge Caravan in the background, plus everybody has very modern hair styles, clothes and even the paint colors in their homes are current. I ranted that if Mad Men can get it

He is a piece of shit. If you judge him solely on his personal life & not his athletic achievement. He had a history of being a temperamental, moody hot head who was very controlling.
