Mortensen's description of the video (prior to its release) seems to mesh pretty well with what we've seen, so it seems pretty evident that his sources DID indeed see the video. Curious as to who they were that they would have had access to the footage, yet the NFL somehow didn't.

The whole point of salting them is so they can't be compared against lists. They have to be calculated individually.

Here's a sort-of related question. Everyone has been talking about how celebrity accounts were hacked because they had shitty passwords. But how does anyone (aside from the celebrities and the hackers) *know* that these were shitty passwords? If their system is designed correctly, Apple shouldn't know what these

It's really astonishing to me to see the press contort themselves to try to avoid this simple, plausible explanation.

Yeah, I'm wearing the tin foil, but I think news providers are under a lot of pressure (from Apple, who has a new phone coming out in a week) to cast doubt on the idea that this was an iCloud hack despite the fact that a). the hackers have claimed that it was and b). an iCloud vulnerability has been exposed.

I haven't seen a rookie quarterback's finger cause this much consternation since Mark Sanchez crashed that homecoming dance in White Plains.

I also vote for suicide - I don't like the idea of cops being put in danger just to deal with this useless waste of oxygen.

I was wondering the same exact thing about the first guy.

All good points. Sadly, if it was murder, he will get away with it.

Ha - no, Harvey Mudd, actually. And I've actually got nothing against IU, I was just trolling.

Hah! Nice catch.

Not surprised to see that sign was commissioned by the University of Indiana; the mastery of written English displayed is pretty much on par with what you'd expect from such a fine institution.

I might be wrong, but why bad? In Samer's opinion this is funny; in my opinion it's juvenile and stupid and an idiotic waste of time for everyone involved. I also feel that The Big Bang Theory is juvenile and stupid; therefore given what I know about how Samer's sense of humor relates to mine, it's not an

Ah, so true.
