It would have been so much more interesting to have the Throne Room betrayal set up a three-sided war in the final film between the the First Order, the internal revolt (New Order?), and the Rebellion. Winner takes all.
Even more disappointing than his screen time was his getting killed just halfway through the trilogy. The OT built toward the Emperor as the ultimate villain despite little screen time; Snoke was just a Jabba-like plot device.
Snoke was so disappointing, he even came in second place in TLJ’s Most Disappointing Contest.
Christ.... I actually completely forgot about her! Phasma makes Boba Fett in RotJ look competent!
The problem with Snoke is that it’s like... “Who the hell cares?” he was framed as a huge character, had 6 minutes of screen time, and was promptly offed. He’s a filler villian.
No, that’s Phasma.
Probably the most pointless character ever in Star Wars.
He looked amazing, which made the jump to the 1:1 puppet Yoda pretty weird to me. Like I love practical effects but he sorta just screamed old puppet to me because his lips and movements weren’t as great as other stuff in the movie( like snoke). Woulda liked either a more advanced animatronic or some cgi…
I feel like it’s a major red flag that no one at Disney stopped to say, “You want us to spend how many millions of dollars on a CGI red shirt?? Oh, hell no!”
The visual effects team put more effort into Snoke than the writers did.
Scott Speed has acted like this for a long time. When someone calls him out for acting like an ass, his favorite defense is usually something along the lines of “I’m a real life racecar driver and you’re a fucking loser”.
I’m mostly disappointed becasue I was a fan of his real life performance. He struggled in Formula…

Seriously, can someone less emotional and maybe a little more objective start reviewing Discovery? You know, someone who can actually discuss pros and cons of an episode without having a meltdown? Maybe a review like this - https://www.avclub.com/burnham-meets-the-emperor-and-discovery-finds-a-new-gro-1822278505
It’s not even true to the source material. She was a full-body cyborg with a normal head. Her face is normal. She’s not a doll or a robot. She should look like a normal girl with a mechanical body.
I’m pretty sure Cameron just don’t give a fuck.
What? No. I just read the first series for the first time this past weekend to see what the big deal was.
Jesus, what is going on here? Her eyes and face are CREEPY AS FUCK. There is no chance in Hell that I want to sit through a movie where that is the protagonist.
In all honesty as a person who does some social media management professionally (not my main gig, but I do run two corporate consumer-facing accounts) it will not hurt them. This kind of irreverence and snark is what most people are attracted to now. Earnestness doesn’t get likes and retweets, sass does, every time.
