It's just the fabrics. It would look less like a deluxe Party City "Sexxxy Superhero!" costume.

I get dropped calls all the damn time, but I'd be much worse off if I didn't have a constant data connection. If I wasn't looking things up, using apps, and constantly online, I wouldn't have an iPhone.

I've always preferred Scandit.

What io9 reader doesn't know who Bane is? I mean, maybe not all the little details, but who reads this site and seriously asks, "Why is this wrestler guy I've never heard of the new Batman villain?"

Hey, that's my friend's cake! (well, a friend of a friend, but that counts, right?)

@2 replies: It seems this whole reply line is about the mouse. Scroll wheels = good, Apple recent (last 10 years or so) history with the mouse = crap. I agree.

@2 replies: I'd hardly call a scroll wheel mouse a wacky peripheral. Maybe the first mouse was, but a scroll wheel, while tremendously useful, was a pretty minor upgrade on a standard product.

Wacky peripherals for PCs fail. Always.

They make us serious-minded freezing water dippers look crazy.

@blash: I suppose it depends on the pedals. I've biked in mine, and it's akin to biking barefoot, so yeah, not the best unless you're really used to it.

@IAmAGenius: Those are my official shoes...

I've tried ShopSavvy, RedLaser and Scandit (not mentioned!) So far, Scandit has the quickest barcode recognition and the best results for finding products from sources online.

How about WebOS apps once in a while? I'm an iPhone user, but my wife's Pixi Plus is pretty awesome and I know she'd appreciate it if I pointed her at some cool apps.

It looks like a toy gun that's chewing and blowing bubblegum.

Too many tests to finish grading and I've got to be at school soon, but as a male 3rd grade teacher, I definitely feel in the minority. I've also had people many times tell me directly that they think it's weird that I work with young kids, and I can't quite get my head around why.

@shak_diesel: Just so you know, I quoted your entire reply in an argument I'm having about this on Facebook.

I used to play in a large well known Amazon themed guild in an MMO, and was a pretty outspoken forum poster. This same shit goes on, x10, in that uber-male dominated playground.

Why does it have to be one or the other? 3 cats, 1 dog (and a snake in my classroom, but she's not really part of the home "pack").

Ok, hipster rant.
