Yes!

While I respect the fact that marriage is, for some people, a sign of commitment, it isn't for everyone. Not everyone who makes that promise will keep it. Many people who make a less formal promise (by having children together!) will.

From what I remember of grade- and high-school, most people experienced a mix of bullying and being bullied, of being popular and being unpopular. I assume that their stories are true, but that they play up the narratives we expect and respect ("I had it so hard etc.") and downplay the ones that are stigmatized ("I

I think that this is a bit of a different situation though. Over the next few weeks their baby is going to be exposed to more people than most of us adults are in a day (celebrity visitors etc.), even though her immune system isn't really developing yet, and she hasn't yet been vaccinated against the major

I've had social-science and humanities classes that required us to keep journals (discussing ideas about readings, in-class-discussions, ongoing work); it's a pretty good tool to track your own work and it forces you to explore your own ideas about something. In order to be useful, it definitely needs to be more

They definitely used to, although I think that microchips have largely replaced the practice. It was used to avoid loosing pets but also to identify breeding animals who were registered as such.

Our government negotiates deals that involve better price-caps than the US's, but It's still pretty pricey here ;).

Common wild boar piglets all have that pattern - it's for camouflage, and disappears when they get their first winter coat.

This is the only plausible explanation.

I'm lucky that I have the mildest migraines ever (sometimes no pain at all, just visual+verbal disturbances) and it still fucks me up. I wish that everyone had to suffer one real migraine (or really, a brief sample thereof) at some point in their early twenties just so that they could understand how bad it is, and

Question to all the commenters posting about how old/ill Lindsay Lohan looks.

Oh god - I am so sorry; much admiration to you for managing that! Are there any useful treatments to help with the pain/side-effects?

I just want to say that I agree with everything you say. I hate that so many discourses about shaving ("I like to stay neat/clean/groomed") hinge on the idea that unaltered female bodies are insalubrious.

Migraines ≠ headaches!

Wow - that sums it up perfectly.

I haven't been following the show this season, but I love spoilers... are they actually going down that road?

No no it's ok - that's "classy".

Agreed on all counts. If you this guy walked up to me, I would never comment on his face because 1- it could actually be his skin's natural colour (it's unusual but humans are pretty diverse) or 2- it could be that he has skin disorder of some sort, and his treatment affects his appearance.

He's in blackface and an idiot.
