grooooaaan.
I lived in Springfield Missouri for a decade one year. Some weird shit goes down in that back-ass town.
I’d try to find a way.
I’m okay with that.
I appreciate what Jolie is telling her daughters. I hope she is teaching her sons how to be respectful and thoughtful men, too.
Excellent gif! What is that from?
I saw him on ‘Finding Your Roots’ with Henry Gates, Jr. I got the impression he has always been his own odd duck, since childhood.
He did some guest appearances on NCIS a few years back. He was cast as Tony DiNozzo’s father.
I had no idea she was so roundly disliked. And she’s made money by spilling on her relatives? Man, isn’t that breaking Royal Rule #1? No Talking About the Family?
Ha!
It would be nice to see all these women come into their own, together; without the silly individual ‘girl band’ monikers.
Check out Ask A Manager. She has a great archive and lots of tags for interviewing, cover letters, etc. Good luck!
Indeed - Allen was not declared innocent; the district attorney declined to pursue the charges. Those are two completely different things, and I wish the media (Jezebel included) would write about Allen more precisely.
Yes - if the phrase, “A man’s art speaks to the man” has any truth to it at all, it certainly should in Allen’s case.
Absolutely. ‘Alleged’ is a legal term of art. So is ‘convicted’.
Polanski was CONVICTED, Whitney. There’s no ‘alleged’ about it.
I think the appeal is the power of controlling or using another without their consent (that you, OMR, have the sense to find personally offensive). To use and have sway over their livelihoods, their jobs, their futures. To take because he can.
‘edifice’ to me means a large building, so I didn’t understand what a ‘final edifice’ would be (unless this is a metaphor?). I also didn’t follow what an ‘edifice of fact’ was indicative of. Or maybe she meant “final evidence of” and it was an autocorrect fail.
Laughed right out at that, thanks.
I don’t doubt the breadth of abuse, or it’s long history; and I’m not disagreeing. I just didn’t understand MD’s use of the phrase ‘a final edifice of fact’.
