  • Bobby Finger realized that he and Megyn Kelly have something in common.

Yeah I loved the one about the hole in the apartment wall. The only problem I had with it was, so she keeps getting all this dust, but, well...wouldn’t you recognize dry wall dust, or more obviously, saw dust? That just struck me as a little disingenuous. But it was still great!

Okay that made me laugh right out, and also from now on I’ll watch the motorcade for that. (Unfortunately I live on Connecticut Ave and I see it way too often.)

They are big in Brazil.

Hahaha Me too!

More than welcome! I tend to be more adventuresome up front, then relax on the shore on the back end :)

Eh, it happens, right? I mean, you’re in a crappy sitch - of course you’re frustrated. I broke my right elbow (my dominate hand) and it was 12 weeks before I could function. I learned how to write and paint (somewhat) with my left hand. It took a lot of concentration and it was interesting to attempt.

Could you elaborate? It seems like you have a good job that pays well, but you are considering leaving because you’ve realized it’s not a good fit. But I’m unclear - do you have another job offer, or are you just toying with quitting?

I replied above about CR. Belize is amazing.

Stunning country. It really depends on your interests, because it has everything (well, assuming you are into nature/wildlife). Surfing, rainforest/wildlife sitings, water rafting, diving. The diving is different on the different coasts (different marine life) so look into which appeals.

Good for you!

Echoing MyFavoriteBrunette’s advice, especially the ‘other people have it worse’ thinking. I’ve always hated that trope.

I don’t have those kind of suggestions, but I will say - break out the instruction manual for your camera and really study it. DSLRs are freaking magic compared to old-school film SLRs. Their capabilities are amazing.

Ugh, you have had a terrible year! I am so sorry. Your whole world has been upended.

ME TOO IT IS A NIGHTMARE - except in mine, I missed some class in high school so I have to redo senior year of high school, my bachelor’s, and my JD.

That is a very common dream theme. I’ve had it often. A variation for me is, I dream that I missed some kind of lame class in high school, so I didn’t really earn my diploma - which then means I didn’t really earn my bachelor’s or my law degree, and I have to go back to school and do all my degrees ALL. OVER. AGAIN.

I think being a ‘loner’ involves actively not liking people, which you don’t seem to have. I am very independent, I do almost everything alone. In part because I don’t know many people in my current (new-ish) city; but also because it’s my nature!

Jim Cooke. He’s a brilliant designer and doesn’t get near enough credit around here.

That is wonderful. She reached out to you when you needed her. I’m so glad you are in a good place now.

That last one was brilliant! I actually stopped reading when I got the hole-behind-the-hutch part. I didn’t want it to end! But of course, sorry she went through that. The real stories are truly the scariest ones!
