I'm playing through Link's Awakening right now. The first time I found myself in a side-scrolling area stomping Goombas just floored me. And they don't let up with the Mario references... they just keep coming!

I'm gonna say...probably not. Especially since Nintendo recently revealed that they're trying to enter the mobile market in some fashion. I'm betting it's like a 3DS with a cellular modem or something.

This is my problem with the whole thing. Link is very heavily characterized by the world he lives in and the characters that surround him. Even though you're assuming for yourself what he says in your own head, every game since OOT is very clear about what his thoughts and feelings are, and those games lead you to

Actually, I think the androgynous thing is more of a Japanese stereotype. (I know the SAO books spend a long time making fun of that particular stereotype.)

As a female myself, I honestly want Link to stay male. If I want to pretend I'm the character on the screen, I'll play an MMO.

However in both Child-OOT and LTTP timelines, the Links *ARE* related by bloodline, and usually this is referenced in the games themselves.

Nah, not really. The GameTheory guys are simply overthinking it. Canonically, this Link survives Termina. (Though the Hero's Shade stuff makes me wonder if he died in battle later on.)

Link has a voice, and is perfectly capable of talking. The idea is that you're the actor on the screen, therefore you're supposed to form in your head whatever it is that he's saying. The vast majority of the dialogue you hear from NPCs is reacting to something he said, which implies he said something to get that

The stages of grief is a perfect analogy. Link isn't so much mourning a person, but his old life, his friendships, maybe even romances. The best of intentions sometimes have the worst of outcomes, and Zelda, by resetting time for him, pretty much ruined his life. I'd wager a lot of the friends he made during Ocarina

I've heard that theory, but I disagree with its conclusions. Officially this Link is the ancestor of Twilight Princess Link, and I seriously doubt he's had the chance to make any gene pool contributions (in this timeline) before he runs off looking for Navi.

For what it's worth, I've never bought a Kindle that included an AC adapter. True, Kindle takes micro USB, but the situation (and the reasoning behind it) really isn't all that different. It allows Nintendo to save money on those customers who have more than enough of these chargers laying around already, and also

Well, you do realize that for all intents and purposes, PC is the "original" Microsoft platform, and that Xbox exists only to enhance it.

This is my view of it. To me, chasing and/or dodging the items is half the fun. The better players will always shine through.

I have seen this stack of games in person. It is bizarrely real.

See, in my eyes, it'd be easier to take the "gritty" stuff, if there was more colorful stuff.

Microsoft *does* have a handheld. It's called a Lumia. ;) However, like the PC, it's intended as more of a general machine and not for purely gaming. (I don't think they'd ever say otherwise.) In fact, Microsoft has made DS games in the past to make up for not having a specific handheld console, and has been

"Way More Powerful", and yet the One's the only system that's actually put out a game with what I'd call next-gen graphics. (Love it or hate it, that game is Ryse.)

Not sure on that one. All three console-makers said Japan was a place where there was a lot of digital downloads of games, and this was something consistently repeated over the years.

Actually, the downloads aren't bad. Granted, our local cable company offers 50 Mbps connections.

I didn't expect Sam to live either. While I was playing the game I had this idea running through my head that Sam was going to become Himeko, they'd fight it out, and then Sam (or what was left of her) would transfer Himeko into Lara and die. Lara, after having been through her crazy adventure, would have been too
