This is so odd. I always draw cars with odd layouts, and came up with a pickup/ute (I’m Aussie) with a compact straight six behind the cab.

Touché - my apoligies. And you’re right but it still has a business case for now, otherwise they wouldn’t be going down that road. Perhaps when the modern Defender emerges it will spurn Tojo on to build a modern LC pickup/ troopy.
It's been confirmed you idiot.
Its about to get a major safety update, so that it can be used in Australian mines- which demand a 5 star ANCAP rating.
If Ford wanted to make a reprisal, I wonder if the T6 Ranger’s seperate chassis would be suitable? Add a dash of Coyote, (Miami on spicier versions); IRS on a new Lincoln Town Car then you have a monopoly on police and livery markets. Surely stories like this show there is a business case for a parts-bin Panther…
Is it narrow enough for lane splitting?
UTE!!!!!
Does anyone else think that a narrow lane splitting car would be cool/ commercially successful?
Not a dumb idea- an awesome, rad idea. Imagine a 1200kg Falcon!
does anyone else want to see a TwinAir version? I drove an Alfa MiTo with this engine- while it sounded fun, the power band was too narrow. In a lighter, rwd sportster it could be awesome.
Brilliant point! Whoever gets long haul trucks on electric power will definitely change the world for the better. Probably easier to drive trucks aswell.
YES <3 Thank you
Whoa. Imagine if they actually tried to build a super/drag car.
I've been searching everywhere for an accurate one that incoporates drag, weight, etc and none of them seem to be accurate. I had one that said a Ford Crown Vic only needs 170 hp to go 200MPH
Technicaly this'd have to win wouldn't it?
I think they're seriously considering it, after all the JDM Alphards started appearing with the Lexus kit.
sauce?
Its the direct descendant of the very first ute; so the Holden is the counterpart ;)
