Does the world need this film? Did it need anything Cronenberg has ever done?
While I wouldn’t wear a Metallica shirt, I’m at the point in my life where I am not going to wear a suit to fulfill someone else’s need to fulfill an antiquated set of fashion standards. I’m going to be comfortable, and I really don’t care what anyone else wears.
You know you don’t have to read them, right? Why shit on something others might enjoy just because you don’t?

Stargate the movie was fine, but the TV show was orders of magnitude better, which can be directly attributed to R.E.’s total lack of involvement.

Yeah! Why make the movie that most people want to see when you can make a movie that thumbs its nose and history, irritates the masses, but gives service to a few vocal critics.
