Yes that's a problem with any high waisted swimsuit bottom I think. I prefer tan lines from normal bikini bottoms but I don't really feel comfortable wearing those anymore.

The top picture, the one that I own, I don't think the bottoms are that high. I'm only 5'1" and I think they look fine. But I guess everyone's proportions are different so it's hard to say without trying on.

I guess it depends on where they hit, I have a belly and I feel like these kind of squeeze me in. Better than the one-pieces do.

Recently there have been a lot of high waisted 2 piece swimsuits coming out, and I love them. I think they look better than 1 piece swimsuits on me. Last year I got the lime green one from Andrea Iyama, and they still have a lot of high waisted and one piece options.
