He shouldn't be putting a K&N air "filter" on anything he cares about anyway...

It is a cock-and-ball story indeed!

The stability control system should be that big round thing in front of you and your right foot.

What other car-for-the-masses (let's say, under $60k new) leaves the factory with oversteer as a throttle-neutral handling characteristic? I won't argue whether or not they SHOULD, just that most all of them DO. Remember, Consumer Reports still (and makes a lot of noise when they do) tests cars. (Yes, they should

Too bad his wasn't... (lack of quattro badge above the glovebox door)

most all parades I've been a part of, you're lucky to reach brakes off-idle speed in 1st gear, but IMO, low gear is what you want- increased engine RPM pulls more air across the engine (assuming belt-driven fan), and staying in the lower gear decreases slippage of the torque converter, reducing transmission heat.

260 for the v8 powered '73 Land Cruiser, 145 for the 430rwhp '98 Trans Am (AKA mullet-mobile), 70 for the big-block avalanche (big blocks should be worth points!), 157 for the Subaru Baja Turbo (5-speed baby!), 190 for the Aprilia RSV.. Sounds about right to me!
