Ok so let’s get this straight. Mayweather does everything he always does. Freddy Roach and Pacquiao are aware of this prior to the fight and have the gameplan. (errrrrr the blueprint. Right De La Hoya?) Roach constantly says they know he to get around it and Pacquiao will be the one to do it. Mayweather throws MORE

With the exception that, you know, Leonard/Hagler is considered to be one of the greatest fights ever, and Hagler was actually effective enough that some people make good arguments that he should’ve won the fight.

People hate FM because his fights are as boring as shit. That said, he wins those fights fair and square within the rules of the sport. You either knock out out out-score your opponent, there’s nothing “cowardly” about trying to out-point your foe. That’s like saying a baseball team is cowardly for “manufacturing”

Mayweather boxed Pacquiao like Sugar Ray Leonard boxed Hagler.

My grandpa gave me some very useful advice: “Never chase a woman or a bus. You look stupid doing it and there is always another one coming.”

Often, the only reason you are friends with that person is because of your interest in them. Staying friends is rarely the best option. Just make sure you clear the air and go on with your life. Everyone has had a person “who they cannot live without”. Look at you now, living and stuff.

This is horrible advice. No one is a mind reader, and certain situations don’t allow you to get to know someone before you ask them out.

Floyd is the best at castrating fighters. Never seen anything like it. The only way to have a chance against Floyd is to be willing to brawl and be willing to absorb his counterpunches. In essence, be willing to get knockout out if that's what it takes to have a shot. Manny wasn't willing tonight. He refused to engage

Well, they actually gave the win to the guy who won. Which is somewhat surprising considering this is boxing.

Really anyone who thought it was going to go anyway different than how it went, knows nothing about these two.

Same outcome five years ago. Sorry folks.

Here’s the thing - and I appreciate Deadspin and other media for staying on top of the story - Wilbon isn’t exactly completely off-base (though he loses me with the condescension). Boxing has always drawn its talent from the very bottom rung of society. And when a sport is contested mostly by people with little

I grew up playing for a Little League team that was made up of kids from both the richest and poorest neighborhoods of our city. As odd or as sheltered as it may seem, Little League baseball was my first introduction to inequality, and my first lesson in acceptance (real acceptance, not the Christian variety), and I

“She was going to be killed by this guy some day, somehow. She didn’t have to die that night.”

Oh man how can you try to be a bad ass saying shit like “4 to 1 bitch” when you’re a cheating little bitch?

If the Yankees are in need of any more of these sorts of press events, I hear Thurman Munson never officially retired either.

Bummer. I’d been stashing him on my fantasy bench the last 6 years in hopes of a comeback.

I would hope he would take what's coming to him and be done with it. It was a dirty hard slide and he knew what he did. He can expect a fastball at his ribs. Take your medicine, jog down to 1st, and call it even. I would rather see the players police the game than some nonsense suspension. Give KC its pound of flesh.

Rutting animals only go on rut once a year. The horniness of man knows no limits, boundaries, or limited time periods of being "in heat." We fuck just to fuck. We make love just for fun or stress relief, or in this case, in public, just for the shits and giggles.
