Eh. The whole second half of the season seem rather slapdash to me. This show doesn't seem to be taking any real risks like it did in seasons 2 and 3. I have to give them credit for not invalidating the timeline change, but the whole Titan mission just seems cookie cutter and no character ever seems to be in danger.

Secret Circle was the first time I broke my cardinal rule of giving a show three or four episodes to prove itself. Just face punchingly awful.

(stares at corpore-metal with disbelieving expression)

You know, I bitched about how LOST ended and all, but at least when they had characters the audience hated with a passion, they killed them.

Good. This oughta be the nail in the coffin for that subject around here.

I'd like to meet the group of people that keep giving Shyamalan money. They gotta be the most gullible fucking individuals on the planet.

He's not doing anything new. People like Jodorowsky and Matthew Barney beat him to this kind of stuff ages ago. While I am a fan of his music, MM has become so repetitive and self-recycling it has almost become laughable. That is what I mean by "quaint".

Oh, Brian. It's not the 90's anymore, buddy. This isn't shocking, it's just quaint.

Hey! How'd you sneak onto Skywalker Ranch?!

Jesse Franco isn't amused. I doubt if Georges Franju is either.

I have a part of my brain devoted entirely to recognizing something else in that photo.

ANYTHING with Kinski is worth watching at least once.

I tried to support the magazine. Bought a subscription, etc just due to VanderMeer's editorial presence- but the writing just wasn't good enough for me to continue.

Told ya!

Ah, but the latest on that is that they want to do a 20 episode season, but split it into two years, to keep the BB accolades flowin'.

Really? They call these people "heroes"?

Hmmm. I didn't hear my rotary R.O.A.C.H. phone ringing for the counterpoint for this documentary...

I wouldn't say "absolutely", but to me, the casting is just awful and I don't know if I can get past that.

Well, I'd rather be confused and semi-intrigued than bored.
