I believe PC games are royalty-free, so Microsoft makes no money off PC games unless they publish it themselves or if they are part of Games for Windows Live, which is pretty much dead.

Technically the copy of Win XP I've used for PC gaming is a purchased copy. Just not by me.

I'm glad you found the root of the problem. That does sound like a complicated issue. It's odd that you can't create a sub-account because of age restriction. I didn't think it would matter. I'll have to test that too since I only have one account on my PS4 right now and it's the master.

Yeah, that sounds right. I think the first setup account defaults as the master account. It should have all the parental controls and permissions in there.

Have your brother check the permissions he gave to your sub-account (assuming he has the master account). I would have him grant you full permissions to everything.

The base game is free and downloadable only.

Then tell them to move them to the BestBuy.com online store then. Since, you know it can't currently be purchased there.

If it's just going to be in your closet then I would sell it and make a little more than you paid for it, while it's still a hard to find item in stores. I'm sure there are others who will put it to better use.

I'll temper my expectations until Destiny is in my own hands.

I never would have guessed either. I got this game free on the PS4 since, I'm assuming, I already had the PS3 version. Great game — almost therapeutic to play after long hours of violent, action-filled games.

Feedly is a decent rss reader. It's what I use on my phone.

I'd rather read 4chan than listen or read Youtube comments, just saying.

I was hoping people took the expression figuratively moreso than literally, but yeah you're right, it is text.

Another hypersensitive comment. I can read this site like a book.

HDMI as a standard will be around for a long time. 4K Ultra HDTVs (3840 x 2160 resolution) use HDMI.

I made sure to preface my statement as assumption but assuming a photo screenshot is simply a snapshot of one video frame, if you can't capture full 1080p video because of HDCP, it stands to reason you can't capture a full 1920x1080 pixel photo either.

I'm assuming this is due to HDCP that they have on their only HDMI connection. They've mentioned they are working on removing HDCP for games only, which is just what I need for video recording too. As I prefer recording videos in HD, right now it's limited to just 580p I believe.

I don't think it's slow. I know it's slow. I've have a high-end PC and have tried running games from USB 3.0 external drives. It is slow, at least for me.

External HDDs are a nice feature to have but I wouldn't want to be playing the games I play the most on them. USB 3.0 is sooo slow.

Just revisiting this old thread since I've finally got my hands on a PS4. You'll be happy to learn that the PS4 does play full audio from the controller! As well as just user-selectable voice channel. It also has the mic of course. Great little piece of tech.
