Team Lamar!

I would say dual analog was one of the selling points for my decision to getting a Vita last year but I'm not so sure if millions of people felt the same way.

Neither do I but I also have no sympathy for the sales manager who I hear has been fired for this recorded incident.

Agreed. The wisecracks as he was leaving but within distance of hearing them...was that really necessary? Borderline trolling.

I think I'll still be going with the PS4 purchase first. I have more confidence their first party devs will utilize their system's power to its fullest. I like what I saw from Mark Cerny's technical presentation and the roadmap he layed out for the console.

Considering both consoles are successful then both companies are doing just fine with their developed, borrowed or stolen tech. We don't know what would have happened to the PSEye without the Move, so let's leave that at conjecture.

What's your point again? Everything from voice recognition, cameras, and motion control got their starts on computers dating back decades.

So if voice recognition is Microsoft's thing, then surely the camera on the Kinect is Sony's thing since it was first with the EyeToy/PSEye? I'll let the fact that SOCOM had voice recognition on the PS2 slip for a while.

True, but from what I've seen at the mainstream stores they take up a small percentage of retail shelf space. Besides it's harder for stores to negotiate terms with the myriad of PC publishers who sell games versus the big three that sell on consoles and take up the larger percentage of in-store real estate.

Off topic, but I'm afraid for the day, if it ever comes, that Steam goes out of business. That just means I'll need to buy a 1000 Exobyte hard drive and I'd be downloading my library 24x7 until they shut down.

The reason why I don't think Microsoft would have been able to offer deep discounts with their original specs is because they still planned to sell their games at retail stores. If I remember correctly, the reason why downloadable games are expensive on consoles is because retail stores do not want to compete with

Great Humble Bundle and I'm glad they've added in more charities to donate to, one of them being my preferred charity. Amazingly, no option to donate to the developers. Thanks EA, and I don't mean that sarcastically.

Nomination: Logitech G700. I like Logitech's G700 because it just understands me and doesn't complain, besides its tracking has been virtually flawless for me and it has so many buttons to press. It's a great value because it really isn't but I used a bunch of rebate checks from building my rig to score one that was

Yes, because sometimes voice actors mumble their words so I don't always catch what they just said by sound.

The PSEye has been around since the PS2 days called the Eye Toy, it's not going anywhere. It's there for people who want it and that's it. While Kinect is there whether you want it or not. Basically the people who don't want it are still subsidizing it in the form of $100 each. Doubtful that MS will lower the launch

In retrospect it seems harmless now but I think there was greater concern back when Microsoft was taking the anti-consumer stance of there's not too long ago. It's nice to see them change the error in their ways but I still believe they should rethink their optional vs. mandatory Kinect bundle, from a value

I've bought used games from GameFly with the online passes still usable. Gamestop should probably have have a notice or disclaimer stating 'online pass not included' for the games they're reselling (doesn't necessarily have to be on the box). EA has stopped but I think others like Ubisoft still use online passes.

I think it's mainly so they can compete with pricing wars on games with all the other stores using real currency. It maybe difficult to compare whether you're getting a better deal on a discounted game from Steam, for instance, and points discounted on Marketplace.

Xenogears is my favorite but I found I played a lot of Street Fighter and Mario Kart back in the days with friends, when there was no online.

It doesn't? The version I have (the retail version that comes with ICO) has trophies. This isn't the PS2 Classic but the HD remake.
