Engines are already tested on rigs designed to simulate the rigors of real racing

I’m a little disappointed that the rear axle does not steer, but not surprised, that stuff is tricky for professionals.

That car is gloriously hideous. I want to hate it, but it’s so fantastic.

Isn’t that about the right shape to become a Nascar track?

I get the feeling that range anxiety would become a real thing if taking this through the wilderness. What sort of range does it get in rough country?

You beat me to it, I thought it was around that, but was getting lost in articles on LT engines.

My mistake, it was the Toyota Starlet, which was so memorable that I had to Google what it was called.

It’s the world’s funkiest Toyota Corolla, but that means it’s still a Toyota Corolla.

Silly, you get your servants to lower you in. Just face it, if you can afford one of these things then you can certainly afford to hire someone whose sole role is to get you into and out of things. All things.

I was thinking of this clip.

I’ve been lucky, a 7 day free trail of Eurosport’s stream dropped at the right time. Won’t be paying once the trail is up, though.

Why stop at an LS? You can fit a 27 litre Aero engine in it:

Iwas thinking this was my local force’s car, but their Exo X has more of the ‘jam sandwich’ design:

But everyone know the M118d is a cut-price performance monster, seriously, I was behind one of those babies at the lights the other day and it just pulled away at a reasonable rate of acceleration.

I find that in the UK the fuel hoses are long enough to fill my car up from either side, so I just pull up where there is a space and make sure I’m very close to the pump if I filling up the ‘wrong’ side. This way I’m never waiting long.

Diffusers work by creating a low pressure zone underneath the back of the car, they do not shoot air up. In order to have any effect on this air before it enters the diffuser a device has to be under the car, anything afterwards is not affecting the diffuser itself.

I not sure how something on the top of the car aids something mounted on the bottom, two separate airstreams. Most likely it is adjusting the airflow onto the rear wing to increase aerodynamic efficiency in some way

Hopefully they can make it better than the current Insignia, which I found to be just awful. I couldn’t find a good position with the seat, there was no feel or feedback in the steering or brakes, the interior felt cramped compared with my Focus (which is slightly smaller) and it had an electronic handbrake.

Google (and other auto-translate services) don’t do Finnish very well (some of my Finnish friends’ Facebook posts are unintentionally hilarious), there are no separate gender specific pronouns, so he/she is hit and miss.
