Hearthstone is doing well because their microtransaction/DLC model is respectible. SC2 and D3 had expansions, and no one’s against having paid microtransactions in Overwatch. We’re saying not like this.

But, SC2 has a price tag
That’s exactly what Blizzard does lmao.
They should make it so her Defense Matrix gauge doesn’t begin to refill until it’s depleted. It would make her more cerebral; at least more than click RMB every other second.
Such is the right of the free market. Get with it or get out, but don’t complain and defend your rights as a consumer.
Lol. “Buying something doesn’t entitle you to it, even after they said you were.” K.
Yes this is an event. Stop whining and buy a loot box.
Explain to me how gameplay is improved by having a different skin. I’m not saying you wouldn’t be happier, or feel better about yourself... I’m talking about your ability to play the game.
Entitlement is fine. Having a healthy sense of it is good. Except, what do people feel entitled to here? They already paid money for a game, then their coins were rendered useless without any warning, and they’re not being given the chance to earn something.
Even then though, it’s not something you can work toward. People are clamoring for the ability to earn things. It’s pretty respectable, but the same crowd flinging “entitled millennials” pops up. I really just want the ability to earn Törbjorn’s stuff. I don’t need or even want it handed to me. If I’m one of the few…
Well said.
It’s not even in the spirit of the fucking Olympics. Imagine if all the people competing and putting in hard work at the games got to the end, only to open up a chest and get a sock, while the dude who came in last opened it and got the gold medal he was hoping for.
You seem to have forgotten that they charged $40 for the game.
I’m only entitled to what’s advertised, and they did advertise that.
Exactly. They’re only “rare” in the sense that you probably won’t get it (even though people have got dupes of legendaries about 4 times in some instances), but so that you’ll buy loot boxes. That people haven’t realized this is beyond me.
What people value isn’t up to you, especially such an absolute one.
They already made their intentions clear by charging $40. People are asking, “But how do they monetize the game to keep it up?”
and it doesn’t detract from your experience by not having every fucking skin for every hero.
“Sometimes we want to give everything to everybody. For example, a few weeks ago we gave everyone a new hero — Ana.”
“pay if you want these sick ass skins and emotes, but if you don’t pay then you can still unlock some by playing the game”
