Well said. Part of it is a lot of the MLS detractors followed soccer before we had a domestic league. So they glory hunted for an English team who never loses. Enter MLS and they see a lower standard of play and shrug their shoulders. Back to hitting up the pub at 7am and pretending they have any connection to Arsenal…

A thousand times this. If they were consistent they’d begin all their college football pieces with “Now we know this isn’t the NFL, but it’s still worth watching.” The anti-MLS thing just seems to be in place just for the sake of setting themselves apart.
