I bought a 2009 SX4 and have grown to love the small car lifestyle. We often haul more in it than in my husband’s 94 SHO.

Different places have different laws, which you should acquaint yourself with before buying something stupid fast for the road. Virginia would have thrown these guys in jail.

That’s a pretty vague statement at the end there. Canadian tire sells all kinds of mufflers, including ones for offroad use only.

    No, its Becky.

I’d rather empty, visible dash. I’m trying to drive, not go to the drive in.

    VB, mate.

But you’ll validate it by commenting on it.

And Chevy. And Dodge. Everyone does it.

So... Like all the mall rated wranglers I see?

I’ll be waiting on the Gazoo kid track remix.

No, it was in reply to Discerning, who asked what if my drive doesn’t require exceeding 1500rpm.

    You don’t break 1500rpm getting to 55?

Are you driving a diesel? I don’t think I could get anywhere under 1500rpm.

What province are you in, and what did you pay (roughly)? I’m super curious.

Of course not. However experience trumps supposition.

I have a friend who imported a car from Japan to Halifax, Nova Scotia. $4000 in taxes and duties.

Cost of importing here is $4000~

Nope. Haven’t and will not import. I have a friend who brought over a 1998 Honda Integra Type R sedan. In just taxes and import fees it was $4000 CAD.

Maybe? Buying online can be a real lottery. Unless you’re factoring in a ticket to go look at it, in which case it would be much more expensive to import one.

Do tell us, what are reasonable shipping costs? Because even at $1000 for the vehicle, you’re looking at coming out even with average shipping costs.
